How do you handle field laptops in remote/lossy network conditions?
MDM-managed Windows or macOS, full-disk encryption (BitLocker / FileVault), offline-first design for the apps that matter (Office, Bluebeam, Plaxis viewer). Sync resumes the moment a connection is available, with bandwidth caps so you don't blow your tethered allowance. Lost laptop? Wiped within 15 min via our service desk.
Do you map controls to ISO 19650 / BS 1192 information management?
Yes. We'll set up a Common Data Environment that satisfies ISO 19650-2, with naming conventions, suitability codes (S0 through S7), and metadata enforcement at the storage layer (not relying on engineers to remember). For the security overlay, we map ISO 19650-5 controls to your existing security framework so the same evidence answers both audits.
What's your approach to long-term retention of borehole and survey data?
Active data on tier-1 NVMe, 25-year retention on immutable object storage with cryptographic hashing so you can prove the file is the file. Catalogue indexed by project, site reference and BGS borehole ID where applicable. We've recovered a 2009 borehole record in under a minute on a live demo — happy to do it again on yours.
